The Zonta Club of Joliet hosts first-ever Festival of Culture to celebrate diversity and support wom
The Zonta Club of the Joliet Area is hosting their first-ever Festival of Culture on Monday, October 24, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Jacob Henry Victorian Ballroom, 15 S. Richards Street in Joliet. This exciting event will bring locally-based restaurants to provide over 200 guests a small tasting of cuisine from around the world. Talented performers will also share music and dance from their diverse cultures during this lively festival sure to excite the senses. Proceeds will go towards local service projects dedicated to empowering women.
“We are excited to launch this Festival of Culture event to highlight the global connection and the diversity within our own communities,” said Mary Baudino, Fundraising Committee Co-Chair for the Zonta Club of the Joliet Area. “The monies raised from this event will help the Zonta Club of the Joliet Area support our many local service projects to improve the status of women.”
Take part in celebrating the Joliet area’s diverse community and supporting women’s rights at the Festival of Culture. Cost to attend the event is $25/person if purchased prior to event or $30/person at the door; children 5 years old and under are admitted free.
