2024 ZONTA Film Festival
The Zonta Club of the Joliet Area presents, "Through Her Eyes," our fourth annual film festival was held on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Joliet Junior College’s Renaissance Center.

Zonta hosts the festival during Woman’s History Month to bring awareness to these issues locally and for the purpose of raising funds to support the endowed scholarships that the Zonta Club of Joliet established for women attending Joliet Junior College.

This year the ZCJA has partnered with Wild and Scenic Films to curate films that impact women and the environment.

The evening will begin with the Boss Up Reception from 4:00 to 5:30 pm, where you can network and enjoy appetizers and cocktails while being serenaded by local entertainer, Karen Isberg.

The dinner and program begins at 5:30 pm with family-style meals at tables and the viewing of seven short films with discussion moderated by emcee, Caroline Portlock.
Emcee Caroline Portlock is the Director of the Workforce Investment Board of Will County. She serves as the President of the Illinois Workforce Partnership and was honored to be the 35th recipient of the Athena Award through the Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce & Industry. She is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Joliet as well as the Visitation and Aid Society and volunteers for several local organizations. Caroline feels destined to emcee a film festival because in college she worked for General Cinema as a Manager which included overseeing operations and popping popcorn at their Jefferson Square Mall, Ford City Cinema, and the Woodridge Cinema locations.

Over $15,000 was raised in sponsorships that will go directly to fund the JJC endowed fund. Our thanks to sponsors Voyager Group, LTD, ExxonMobil and D'Arcy GMC Buick.

2023 LUNAFEST Film Festival
The Zonta Club of the Joliet Area hosted our third annual film festival, LUNAFEST, on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Joliet Junior College’s Renaissance Center.
LUNAFEST is an inspirational short film festival by and about women brought to us by Luna ®, the makers of the Luna Bar. Luna began this festival in 2001 as a way to amplify diverse voices, challenge perceptions, and spark conversations, which matches the Zonta Club of the Joliet Area’s mission and goals.

Zonta hosts the festival during Woman’s History Month to bring awareness to these issues locally and for the purpose of raising funds to support the endowed scholarships that the Zonta Club of Joliet established for women attending Joliet Junior College.
