The Zonta Club of the Joliet Area is hosting our second annual film festival, LUNAFEST, on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Joliet Junior College’s Renaissance Center. LUNAFEST is an inspirational short film festival by and about women brought to us by Luna ®, the makers of the Luna Bar. Luna began this festival in 2001 as a way to amplify diverse voices, challenge perceptions, and spark conversations, which matches the Zonta Club of the Joliet Area’s mission and goals.
Zonta is hosting the festival during Woman’s History Month to bring awareness to these issues locally and for the purpose of raising funds to support scholarships that the Zonta Club of Joliet established for women attending Joliet Junior College.
This year, Mohra Gavankar, local business owner and philanthropist is our emcee and will lead the discussion of the films with our attendees.
All guests will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID test taken with 72 hours of the event. We will also adhere to the state official mandate at the time event, including masks.
