ZONTA CLUB OF THE JOLIET AREA INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2027 WOMEN IN BUSINESS LEADERSHIP AWARD

JOLIET, IL — October 27, 2026 — The Zonta Club of the Joliet Area is officially inviting local applicants to submit their application packages for the 2027 Zonta Women in Business Leadership Award. Young women driving innovation and creating a local impact have until November 10, 2026, to submit their materials to the Joliet club to be considered for advancement to the district and international levels of competition.
The program celebrates excellence and recognizes outstanding achievements by women between 18 and 35 years of age. It honors exceptional leadership in business-related fields, entrepreneurial spirit, ethical conduct, and significant contributions toward addressing issues affecting women and girls or climate justice.
The application process must begin at the local club level. The Zonta Club of the Joliet Area will evaluate local submissions and select one top applicant to send to the Zonta district governor by the regional November 30 deadline. From there, district finalists advance to Zonta International Headquarters, where an international jury will select 10 global recipients to receive US$5,000 each and a complimentary one-year Zonta International membership.
There are no restrictions on how the final international award funds may be used by the recipient.
