What a pleasure it was to speak with Zonta Club of Joliet's very own Pam Hunte, about her incredible life of service. Pam's career path, which includes teaching English in Afghanistan for the Peace Corps, consulting for NGOs in multiple third world countries, conducting research and overall, working to better the lives of girls of women, is really extraordinary and deserving of celebrating. Pam, who has a PhD. in cultural anthropology, focused on the people of Afghanistan in our discussion, as our club has forged a connection with the Jebreel Learning Center in Herat, Afghanistan. Our club is so grateful to have a member like Pam with such extensive knowledge and experience in the international arena.
