ZCJA Awarded Distinguished Partners for Excellence by JJC Foundation

The Zonta Club of the Joliet Area was honored to be awarded the 2025 Distinguished Partners for Excellence Award by the Joliet Junior College Foundation at its annual Night of the Stars event on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.

Each year, JJC's Foundation awards a donor or sponsor organization for their commitment to supporting JJC students. The Zonta Club of the Joliet Area was chosen this year for "for their enduring commitment to empowering women and girls through education," according to the Joliet Junior College website.

ZCJA started an endowed scholarship fund in 1996 for non-traditional women students in the STEAM fields and in 2018 endowed the Sue Bornhofen Culinary Arts Scholarship in honor of Sue Pritz Bornhofen.
